1. STOP
Immediately stop what you are doing and reach out to your manager first. Do not continue working or moving vehicles unless your manager instructs you otherwise.
2. REPORT
Immediately report the incident to your manager and your dealership contact. Provide a clear and accurate description of what happened.
3. DOCUMENT
Complete the Accident Report Form thoroughly. Include all requested details and upload clear photos of the vehicle, damage, and surrounding area as applicable.
4. TEST
After the accident has been reported and documented, a member of HR will contact you with instructions for completing the required post-accident drug urine test and breathalyzer. Follow the instructions provided by HR promptly.
After an accident, DO NOT:
Continue working without management approval.
Leave the dealership without reporting the incident.
Move the vehicle unless instructed.
Attempt to repair or conceal damage.
Assume the damage was already there.
Argue with dealership personnel or another party about fault.
Admit fault or make promises regarding payment or repairs.
Delay required drug or breathalyzer testing.
Wait until later to report the incident.
A small scratch, bump, mirror contact, curb impact, or other vehicle contact can become a larger issue if it is not reported immediately.
Our goal is not just to complete the job, it's to protect every vehicle entrusted to us and maintain the trust of our dealership customers.
When something happens, be honest, report it immediately, and follow the required procedures.
