To recognize those who diligently work before and after a company holiday on the days listed as "BLOCKED" on the company calendar, eligible* employees will receive pay equal to the shortest day worked during the blocked period.
Time worked: Employee worked 8 hours every day during the blocked period.
Bonus: Employee will receive 8 hours of pay.
Time worked: Employee is part time and works 3 days per week.
Bonus: Because the shortest day worked during the blocked period is 0, employee is not entitled to the bonus.
Time worked: Employee worked 8 hours most days, but left early one day, and worked 5 hours on that day.
Bonus: Employee will receive 5 hours of pay.
Time worked: Employee normally works 5 days per week, but did not work one of the days.
Bonus: Because the shortest day worked during the blocked period is 0, employee is not entitled to the bonus.
*Employees are eligible for holiday bonus pay on their 31st calendar day of employment.
